Educational Interpreter

Oklahoma public schools must comply with Senate Bill 1328 known as the “Oklahoma Educational Interpreter for the Deaf Act”. With funding from the Oklahoma Department of Education, OSD offers training and support for educational interpreters by providing workshops and mentoring at no cost to interpreters or schools.  OSD also maintains the educational interpreter registry, administers the EIPA CEU program, and provides immersion experiences through the Resident Interpreter program on the campus of OSD.
