New OSD Mascot; Alumni Select BISON!

We are pleased to announce the new OSD mascot!  The Oklahoma School for the Deaf BISON was approved by the DRS Commission earlier this week and will go into effect immediately.  This summer the OSD Alumni circulated a survey among those in the alumni family to select a new OSD mascot. Bison was the overwhelming winner with 67% of the vote.

The Oklahoma School for the Deaf will accept the alumni's selection!

This is an historic moment in OSD history.  A logo design committee will be meeting soon to develop our new school imagery.  OSD students, staff, coaches, and alumni will be developing those ideas. 

We will also have discussions about how to honor OSD history in our Betty S. Fine Museum.

It is a new chapter in OSD history.
